Team India will be in action again on 1 March 2023 when they will take on Australia in Indore. It will be the third Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The Men in Blue have an unassailable lead of 2-0 so far. But, the main talk of the town has been the place of KL Rahul in the squad.

This star batter has failed miserably so far in this series with the bat. After a poor Test series in Bangladesh, fans were expecting to see him with better performances. But, in two matches, Rahul scored 38 runs in three innings. So, fans were expecting to see him lose a place in the squad for the last two Tests.

Several former players like Harbhajan Singh and Kapil Dev claimed that Rahul should not get a place in the playing XI since the start of the series. They said that it will help team India to get a better balance. Along with them, the former team India pacer, Venkatesh Prasad also blamed the Indian Cricket Board for favoring KL Rahul over other talented batters despite several failures.

He also shared some tweets with stats of Rahul in the longest format of the game compared to other batters like Mayank Agarwal, Shubman Gill, and others. However, he has been stripped of vice-captaincy duties. S, it will be interesting to see if Rohit Sharma goes with the star batter or consider other batters like Gill in the Indore Test. But, now an image has gone viral where KL Rahul was seen visiting Mahakaleshwar Temple in Madhya Pradesh with his newly married wife, Aathiya Shetty. It seemed that the star batter has gone for a spiritual outing in order to get some blessings ahead of the third Test.
