'Their jersey look like my nightpants' - Cheeky fans troll Lucknow for their jersey

Lucknow are all set to make their debut in the Indian T20 league, as they take on Gujarat in the fourth match of the 2022 edition. Fans have been eagerly waiting for them to get on the field. There was a lot of hype pertaining to this new team.

Moreover, the fact that their debut game is against another new team makes the clash even more interesting. The franchise had earlier acquired the services of KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis and Ravi Bishnoi. Besides, they managed to buy some world-class players during the mega auction as well. As a matter of fact, several experts and pundits felt that Lucknow have one of the most balanced sides in the Indian T20 league 2022.

Moreover, the announcement of their team logo generated a lot of buzz. After which, all the fans were waiting for them to reveal the look of their jersey for this edition. They took their time as they went on to unveil their jersey barely a few days before the commencement of the 2022 edition.

While it received mixed reviews, fans were waiting for the Lucknow players to don the jersey, and get on the field. However, they were utterly disappointed when they saw KL Rahul at the toss while wearing Lucknow's jersey. Several people took to Twitter to express their disappointment over the same. Many fans felt that this was the worst jersey in the history of the league.

The Lucknow-based franchise would certainly not have expected such a negative reaction from the public. However, the Rahul-led side would want their fans to forget about their jersey by playing well. Having said that, Lucknow didn't really have the greatest start to their maiden Indian T20 league game as they lost four wickets in the powerplay overs. After being asked to bat first, they were only able to score 32 runs in the first six overs.
