In the third match of the epic tournament, the Kings locked horns with Dambulla Aura and eventually secured their second win of the ongoing T20 extravaganza. To add more, it was the Aura who batted first and the team managed to put on a decent total of 121 runs on the board at the end of the first innings.

However, it was not enough as the Kings, who got off to a flyer during the chase, finished the match within 16 overs and with 9 wickets to spare on the day. Concerning the chase, Sadeera Samarawickrama gathered 62 runs to his name, while Avishka Fernando managed to contribute 51 runs to the team’s scoreboard.

Match 4, Galle Gladiators vs Kandy Falcons

The Gladiators and the Falcons competed against each other in the second match of the day and it turned out to be a great one as the match almost slipped away from the Falcons, although one has to agree that the team got off to a great start during the chase. Concerning the match, it was the Gladiators who batted first and put on 121 runs on the board on the back of Movin Subasingha’s well-made 40.

Falcons, on the other hand, got off to a great start and eventually gathered 55 runs post losing 1 wicket at the end of the powerplay. Eventually, two quick wickets put a pause on the Falcons’ momentum and the team slowed things down eventually.  However, despite the odds, the Falcons chased down the total on the back of a stupendous effort from Kamindu Mendis and with 5 wickets to spare.
