India and Hong Kong are facing each other in the fourth match of the Asia Cup 2022. Hong Kong skipper Nizakat Khan won the toss and decided to bowl first against India in their first match of the tournament. Skipper Rohit Sharma and senior batter KL Rahul opened the innings for India and scored 38 runs in 4.5 overs.

It was the time when former skipper and senior batter took the charge ahead. He scored a half-century in international cricket after a long time. The 33-year-old scored 59 runs off 44 balls with a boundary and three sixes to his name.

Speaking of the match, then India lost their first wicket on 38 when skipper Rohit Sharma fell prey to Ayush Shukla in the fifth over of the match. Then onwards, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli made a partnership of 66 runs for the second wicket. KL Rahul scored 36 runs off 39 balls with two sixes to his name. He got out when India’s score was 94 runs in 13 overs.

It was the time when former skipper and senior batter Virat Kohli took the charge with explosive batter Suryakumar Yadav. They both stitched a quick and massive partnership of 98 runs for the third wicket. Both batters scored half-centuries. Kohli ended up scoring 59 runs off 44 balls with a boundary and three sixes.

Other than him, Suryakumar Yadav also impressed everyone with his blistering knock of 68 runs off just 26 balls with six boundaries and massive six sixes on his credit. India ended up their inning at 192 runs for the loss of only two wickets.

Hong Kong now needs 193 runs in 20 overs to win against India in their first match of the tournament.
