Team India will be in action from 7 June 2023 when they will take on Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) final at Oval, England. However, maximum players are currently busy playing in the ongoing IPL while some players are also playing in the county championship in England.

Both sides have already announced their sides for the final and an enthralling battle is expected between these heavyweights. Last time, the Men in Blue failed win the final as New Zealand defeated them. So, this time around, under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, India will look to win this title for the first time.

India will play against Australia in the WTC final from June 7-11 2023

Since Rohit Sharma has taken the captaincy, Team India have shown their dominance in the bilateral series, especially at home. However, they had chances to win two major titles, the Asia Cup and the 20-20 World Cup in 2022. But, they failed miserably. So, fans are expecting a better performance from them this time around. But, ahead of the final, Team India fans received good news. 

They became the new number-one ranked side in the longest format of the game. With the latest updation in the rankings, India overleaped Australia and gained the top spot. Along with it, India are now third in ODIs and first in T20Is. However, in the last Test series that India played at home against Australia, they defeated the Aussies 2-1 and won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the fourth consecutive time.
