Suresh Raina is currently busy playing in the ongoing LLC Masters for India Maharajas. He played a knock of 49 runs off 41 balls against World Gianat in the last match. Although, the Maharajas lost the match by three wickets. On the other hand, MS Dhoni will be seen in the Indian T20 League 2023 for the Chennai franchise.

Raina last played in 2021 for Chennai along with Dhoni. However, he retired from all forms of cricket in September 2022. But, every fan knows the bromance these players have had between them since their playing days. Now, he came up with another statement regarding the former team India's skipper during the LLC.

“He (Dhoni) has been batting well and looking fit” - Suresh Raina

While speaking during the tournament in Doha, Suresh Raina said that MS Dhoni can play in the 2024 edition of the Indian T20 League. He also claimed that Dhoni has been batting well and looking fit in the recently viral images and videos. Raina said: “He can play the Indian T20 League next year as well, you never know. He (Dhoni) has been batting well and looking fit, it depends on how the performance is this year. It may be a little challenging since him and (Ambati) Rayudu haven’t played the tournament since one year."

"You must have seen the videos of him. The way he is playing the big shots (in the nets). I hope he does well and makes them win," the former southpaw batter of team India added. He also claimed that the Chennai team is looking quite strong for teh upcoming edition of the tournament. "I think the team is quite strong, a lot of young players are coming through the ranks. (Ruturaj) Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja), (Ben) Stokes, Deepak Chahar, and there are more young and dynamic players in that side. Let's see how they play," Raina concluded. But, listening to such statements from Suresh Raina, fans came up and trolled him brutally for praising Dhoni every time to keep himself in the limelight.
