Dahani has now become the third speedster of Pakistan who sustained injury very recently. Earlier, Shaheen Shah Afridi had a complaint of a right knee ligament injury and Mohammad Wasim Jr. sustained the same side strain injury with which Dahani is suffering now.

Recently, the Pakistan Cricket Board has informed about the current update on Shahnawaz Dahani and his injury.

“Shahnawaz Dahani will not be available for Sunday's ACC T20 Asia Cup Super-4 match against India due to a suspected side strain. The injury happened while bowling in the match against Hong Kong in Sharjah on Friday,” said the PCB in their official update.

“As is the case with any suspected side strain injury, the medical team will monitor him for the next 48-72 hours, following which they will make decisions, including carrying out a scan and further participation in the tournament,” PCB added later.

In the last match against Hong Kong, Dahani registered economical figures of 1/7 in two overs. Pakistan won the match by a massive margin of 155 runs by bundling up Hong Kong only on the score of 38 runs. Earlier than that, Dahani couldn’t scalp any wicket against India in the first match, although he scored 16 runs with the bat having two sixes.
