Jos Buttler-led English team is all set to visit Pakistan for seven-match T20I series against the home side. Both teams will play this series in the next month of September. Notably, England is touring this South Asian country for bilateral series after a long wait of 17 years. Earlier, it was the year 2005 when they toured Pakistan for any bilateral series.

In the subsequent process, Pakistan Cricket Board announced the complete schedule of the matches of the series between Pakistan and England. Pakistan will host this bilateral series before the commencement of the 2022 T20 World Cup.
England is currently number two in the international T20 rankings. Whereas, the men in green are in the third spot in the same rankings. The T20 series will not be the end of England’s tour of Pakistan as they will revisit there for three-match Test series after the T20 World Cup. This test series will be a part of the World Test Championship 2023.

PCB’s Director of International Cricket, Zakir Khan, has also talked about this series and the schedule of the series. He has mentioned the mindset of the world ahead of hosting the English team.
"We are absolutely delighted to confirm hosting England for seven T20Is in Karachi and Lahore as a curtain-raiser to a busy, entertaining and exciting season of home internationals,” Zakir was quoted as saying in his statement.
"England is one of the top-ranked T20I teams and them playing the shortest format in the lead-up to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Pakistan will not only help the team management to finalize their preparations but will also set the tone for December’s three-Test series,” he added later.
