Rohit Sharma is currently busy preparing for the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia. The match will take place at the Oval, starting from 7-11 June. However, he is coming to this clash after a poor IPL season for Mumbai Indians (MI) with the bat. He scored 332 runs in 16 matches, at an average of 20.75, including two fifties only.

So, fans are eager to see him back in form in the final against the Aussies. However, now on 3 June, an image has gone viral where Rohit was seen with the new Test jersey as Adidas have launched the new jerseys for all three formats. But, he looked awkward to fans due to his fitness and fans came up to troll him brutally on social media platforms.

However, in this WTC Cycle of 2021-23, Rohit has shown a bit of consistency with the bat in the red ball format. He has managed to score 700 runs in 17 innings (10 matches), at an average of 49.53, including two centuries and two fifties. His best score of 127 came against England at the Oval in 2021. But, now as a skipper also, he will look to win this major tournament, especially after being a part of the team that lost the last WTC final against New Zealand in 2021. Recently, the Indian Cricket Board shared a video where Rohit reflected on the journey of Team India throughout the cycle.

He said: "Look, it's a cycle of two years and we play a lot of Test matches during that period. Lot of players have played in that cycle. Different individuals have stepped up, putting the performances that we were looking for from the individual. To be standing here knowing that we've qualified for the finals feels really, really great. The boys are really happy about it because all that effort that we put in for the last two years finally has come to the fore. Obviously, the job is not done. We have to go out there and get the best result for us in the final."
