Yuzvendra Chahal had a good IPL 2023 for Rajasthan Royals (RR) with the ball by picking up 21 wickets. But, now he made headlines as Chahal has reportedly donated 1 Lakh rupee for charity work for the Odisha train accident. The money has been made through the stream conducted by the "scOut" gaming channel.

Seeing that news, fans shared their views on social media. Speaking of this horrible accident, three trains got involved in this devastating crash and it killed 275 people. More than 1000 people were left injured also. The accident happened in Odisha's Balasore district on 2 June 2023 when the Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, headed towards Chennai, got derailed.

Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal finished the recently concluded IPL in the fourth position in the race for the Purple Cap with 21 wickets in 14 games. In the previous edition, he was the highest wicket-taker and won the Purple Cap. But, this time his efforts went in vain as RR failed to qualify for the playoffs. They finished in the fifth spot with 14 points in 14 games. Recently, in an interaction with News18, Chahal came up and shared that he would have been happy for MS Dhoni if CSK had defeated RR in the final of the competition at Ahmedabad.

He said: "It was an emotional moment. Not only me, but whole India wanted him to win. And it’s a good thing and I’m really happy to see that. He is a legend and the way he is, if CSK would have defeated us in the final, I would have been equally happy for him." Before this recent edition, reports were there it might be Dhoni’s last season. However, after the final, the CSK skipper confirmed that he is most likely to play another season, though it would be very hard for him to accomplish. But, that statement from Chahal did not go well with RR fans and they slammed him brutally on social media.
