The former team India cricketer, Aakash Chopra is known for running his official YouTube channel. Currently, before every game in IPL 2023, he gives his predictions and then, he analyses the whole game after the match. The same he did before KKR locked horns with RCB at the Eden Gardens on 6 April. In his video, he claimed that both teams would score 90-105 runs together in the powerplay.

Then, Aakash Chopra said that both Siraj and Harshal Patel would take more than three wickets. He also claimed that Maxwell and Russell would hit more than five sixes together while RCB would win the game. But, the results came out completely wrong as RCB suffered an 81-run loss against KKR. Seeing such predictions, fans slammed the former cricketer on social media brutally.

Along with the final results, other predictions were also wrong from Aakash Chopra. Both Harshal Patel and Mohammed Siraj took two wickets together. Both Maxwell and Andre Russell failed to hit a single six together. However, both teams managed to score 97 runs together in the powerplay overs. Speaking of the match, KKR batted first and scored 204 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs.

In reply, RCB got bundled out for 123 runs in 17.4 overs. Bangalore batters were absolutely clueless against Kolkata’s spinning trio of Narine, Suyash Sharma, and Varun Chakravarthy. Those three spinners took nine wickets together for KKR. Shardul Thakur won the Player of the Match award for his all-round performance. After the win, KKR skipper Nitish Rana also heaped praise on the star all-rounder and said that he was always confident in his batting abilities. Rana said: "I was always confident of his batting ability as an impact player but his stroke-making exceeded my expectations. If your all-rounder bats in such way, and turns around the game single-handedly, what else does a captain want?"
