Leach experienced some "low back symptoms" during the Test against Ireland and he went for scans. Now, scans have confirmed that he had suffered a lumbar stress fracture. However, England will announce the replacement in the coming days. Listening to that, fans shared their views on social media.

Great to get back as a group, spending quality time together before the Ashes.” - Ben Stokes after victory over Ireland

Meanwhile, this can be a huge setback for Ben Stokes and his men ahead of the stern test against the Aussies. Now, they might look for a spinning option to give a people workload balance to their available bowling unit. After the victory over Ireland, England skipper, Ben Stokes opened up about the importance of the clash for the Ashes.

During the post-match presentation ceremony, Stokes gave credit to Ireland and said: "Thought Ireland came out and showed grit and determination. Gives us a little insight into what we might have to do against Australia. It got flatter as it went on. Trying to take the game on in our own way allowed us to potentially bowl them out without batting again. Ireland had to get a really good score to put us under pressure. Good test and credit to Ireland today.”

Not much more we can do. The new way is you get as ready as you can, get in the right frame of mind. Great to get back as a group, spending quality time together before the Ashes. Really looking forward to it," Ben Stokes further added.
