The Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing IPL 2023 on 6 April at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Bangalore are coming off after a thumping win over Mumbai Indians in the opening game. Virat Kohli played a solid knock of 82* runs off 49 balls and kicked off the season with a blast.

So, fans are hoping to see him play another top inning against the Kolkata franchise in the second game. Now, ahead of the clash, as quoted by PTI, his former Bangalore teammate, AB De Villiers said: "Virat Kohli's best is yet to come & we are going to see some fireworks". Seeing such a statement, fans were not happy as they blamed him to jinx the performance of the former Bangalore skipper.

After Bangalore’s win over Mumbai in the season opener, AB De Villiers opened up if any changes he has observed in recent years in the batting style of Virat Kohli. While speaking to the media, the former Protea batter said: "I have not seen much change, everything is similar. The technique looks solid; he has got good balance at the crease. He is still that 'busy' player with a lot of energy at the wicket. I just feel, this season he has come in looking really fresh. I have seen some of his interviews where he is laughing more than ever...".

He further added that letting go of the captaincy of Bangalore helped Virat Kohli a lot in being more relaxed. De Villiers said: "I think letting the captaincy go last season played a big role in him relaxing. He was a fantastic captain but he did it for a long period of time both internationally and also at the IPL which can be daunting. You never get time off to chill or spend with family or have a laugh with some friends. I think that is his mantra for this season, just to go out and have fun, keep smiling".
