They started their Indian T20 League (ITL) 2023 campaign with a handsome eight-wicket win over Mumbai. Ahead of the Indian T20 League, the franchise took part in the Women's T20 League (WTL) with their women's team led by star India batter Smriti Mandhana.

Notably, Mandhana said that Virat Kohli was her inspiration in the Bangalore system, and she wanted to achieve similar things for the franchise as the former men's team captain. Mandhana had said, "I don't like that kind of comparison because what he (Kohli) has achieved is amazing. I just hope that I reach that level, but I'm nowhere near. What he has achieved for this franchise, I would like to try and do that."

Despite not winning the ITL trophy in 15 seasons, Bangalore has the most devoted following of any franchise.
