However, he has not played a single game so far as the Maharajas will take on Asia Lions in the eliminator on 18 March 2023. Now, in a recent interaction with Sports Yaari, Sreesanth came up with the choice of his franchise that he wants to see as a winner in the Indian T20 League 2023.

“I want Bangalore to win.” - Sreesanth

Sreesanth said: "I don't think Chennai will win Indian T20 League 2023. I want Bangalore to win. I'm supporting Rajasthan due to Sanju Samson - the only mallu captain, but want Bangalore to win". Listening to that, some fans came up and claimed that it will never happen and started to troll brutally on the social media platform. Speaking of Sreesanth’s career for team India, he played 90 international matches. In those matches, Sreesanth took 169 wickets. His cricketing career got derailed when he got arrested in 2013 for being accused of match-fixing. As a result, the Indian Cricket Board banned him from all forms of cricket for a lifetime.

Later, his ban got reduced to seven years and after 2020, he became available again for playing cricket. Then, he played for his Kerala state in domestic tournaments. In 2022, Sreesanth announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. He wrote: “It has been an honor to represent my family, my teammates, and the people of India. Nd everyone who loves the game. With much sadness but without regret, I say this with a heavy heart: I am retiring from the Indian domestic (first class and all formats) cricket. For the next generation of cricketers. I have chosen to end my first-class cricket career. This decision is mine alone, and although I know this will not bring me happiness, it is the right and honorable action to take at this time in my life. I have cherished every moment."
