Former Pakistan skipper Ramiz Raja was recently fired from the position of Pakistan Cricket Board chief. It all happened in the aftermath of Pakistan’s embarrassing defeat against England in a three-match Test series by a big margin of 3-0. On the recommendation of incumbent Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, former PCB chief and renowned cricket administration face Najam Sethi was re-appointed as the new chief of the Board.

Meanwhile, former Chief Ramiz Raja once again took to his YouTube channel and ignited controversy for his huge claim that it was the Pakistan team that compelled the Indians to change their management setup in the ODIs. Notably, he is the very person who bluntly talked a lot against Indian cricket during his tenure as the chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

“We gave outstanding performances in white-ball cricket. We played in the Asia Cup final, but India didn't play that. India, a billion-dollar industry, was left behind. They fired their chief selector, selection committee, changed the captain because they couldn't digest how Pakistan went ahead of them,” said Ramiz Raja to Suno TV.

Although a section of the Indian cricket fans didn’t take this statement from the 60-year-old very easily. They immediately took to Twitter to lash out at him and said that he is just putting all his efforts to stay relevant in the news media.

Earlier, Ramiz Raja made some controversial and big statements regarding the Indian cricket and Pakistan cricket teams’ participation in the ODI World Cup 2023.

"We don't want to really go there but it's just that the fans want us to react. The fans are absolutely bitter because of what India's narrative has been regarding India-Pakistan,” said Ramiz Raja to SkySports.
