On April 29, a doubleheader marked the action in the sixteenth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). At the renowned Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the day's first game pitted the Kolkata Knight Riders against the defending champion Gujarat Titans. The Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad will square off in the second game of the day at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Regarding the first game, Gujarat Titans chose to bowl first after winning the toss. Thanks to some solid bowling, the reigning champions limited the host team to 179/7 in just 20 overs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, a young wicketkeeper-batsman for KKR, played a stunning performance of 81 off 39 balls while opening the batting in the game that was briefly postponed owing to the wet ground.
However, a certain incident before the start of the game has gone viral on social media. In the video, LSG coach Ashish Nehra hits presenter Murali Kartik on his nuts in a friendly exchange. Kartik, hurt, falls onto the pitch, and later Nehra helps him up to his feet.
Here's the viral video:

Vijay Shankar starred as GT defeated KKR
The defending champions got off to a strong start as the opening pair put together a 41-run opening stand before Wriddhiman Saha continued his poor performances and was dismissed after just scoring 10. Shubman Gill had bad luck as he was dismissed for 49. Finally, David Miller and Vijay Shankar were in charge of pushing GT over the finish line. In a forgettable bowling performance, KKR's Harshit Rana, Sunil Narine, and Andre Russell returned with one wicket each. GT won the game by 7 wickets.
Next, on Sunday, fans may watch another doubleheader in the Indian Premier League 2023. The Chennai Super Kings will play Punjab Kings at the Chepauk on Sunday, hoping to avenge their most recent loss at the hands of RR. At their home venue, Mumbai Indians' Wankhede Stadium, the Rajasthan Royals will face CSK in the second match.
