Here are the possible three most run scorers in the KKR vs RR clash in IPL 2023
1. Jos Buttler
This RR opener was having a mixed IPL season so far until the last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). In that game, Buttler scored 95 runs off 59 balls, including 10 fours and four sixes. After that knock, Jos Buttler has now scored 392 runs in 11 matches, at an average of 35.63 and a strike rate of 143.58.
Currently, Buttler is in the sixth position in the race for the Orange Cap this year. So, fans were happy to see Buttler scoring runs after some recent failures in the ongoing tournament. The batting-friendly pitch at Eden Gardens might also help him to play his shots against Nitish Rana and his men.
2. Nitish Rana
The KKR skipper has played some stable innings so far for his team in IPL 2023. In 11 matches, Nitish Rana has scored 326 runs, at an average of 29.63 and a strike rate of 146.84. In the last game against Punjab Kings, he scored 51 runs off 38 balls, including six fours and one six at Eden Gardens.
However, in maximum innings, Rana managed some good starts but failed to convert those into big scores. Hence, he has scored only one fifty so far. But, the home crowd will hope for a big knock from their skipper against Sanju Samson and his men. His knock can help them to put up a solid score on the board.
3. Yashasvi Jaiswal
This young opener from RR has been a revelation this IPL. Yashasvi Jaiswal is currently in the second spot in the race for the Orange Cap this season. In 11 matches, he has scored 477 runs, at an average of 43.36 and a massive strike rate of 160.60. His ability to hit big shots from the first ball of the innings has worked for him.
His quickfire starts have also helped Jos Buttler to play the second-fiddle role in maximum matches. However, in the last match against SRH, Jaiswal had a good start but got out on 35 runs off 18 balls. So, fans will hope for a big knock again from this youngster against KKR at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
