KKR vs GT, IPL 2023: 3 most run scorers in today's match
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will host the defending champion Gujarat Titans (GT) in the ongoing IPL on 29 April 2023. The 39th match of the tournament will take place at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. However, in the reverse fixture, KKR clinched a high-scoring thriller against GT at Ahmedabad.
So, GT will look to win this time around while KKR will look to do a double over the reigning champion. Speaking of forms, GT are in the second spot with 10 points from seven games. This star England batter has been in great form since he joined KKR. In three matches so far, Jason Roy has scored 160 runs, at an average of 53.33. He has notched up two fifties also in the tournament. In the last game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Roy smashed 56 runs off 29 balls.
He hit four fours and five sixes in his innings. His blistering start to the innings helped KKR to reach 66 runs for no wickets in the first six overs. Even, against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Eden Gardens, Roy smashed 61 runs off 26 balls, including five fours and five sixes. So, fans will hope for another blistering knock from him against GT.
2. Shubman Gill

This star opener of GT will look to do well at Eden Gardens. Gill’s previous IPL team was KKR. Hence, he knows the conditions well enough to score big runs. In IPL 2023 so far, Shubman Gill has scored 284 runs in seven matches, at an average of 40.57. He has notched up three fifties also in the tournament.
In the reverse fixture against KKR, Gill scored 39 runs off 31 balls. However, in the last game against Mumbai Indians (MI), he scored 56 runs off 34 balls, including seven fours and one six. So, GT fans will hope for a solid inning from Shubman Gill while facing Nitish Rana and his men at Eden Gardens.
3. Rinku Singh

This Southpaw batter has been a revelation for KKR this year. Rinku Singh has scored 251 runs in eight matches, at an average of 62.75. He has notched up two cities so far and always came up with some crucial knocks when the team needed them most. In the reverse fixture against GT, Rinku smashed 48* runs off 21 balls, including one four and six sixes.
But, he managed to do an unthinkable task by hitting five consecutive sixes in the last over of the game to win the match for KKR. They needed 29 runs for the last five balls and Rinku Singh smashed Yash Dayal for five consecutive sixes to seal the match. So, the home fans will hope for another match-winning knock from Rinku against GT this time around.
