Rajasthan's unbeaten run in the Indian T20 league 2022 has finally come to an end. Bangalore have finally managed to stop their rampant form, which led to an entertaining game. The Faf du Plessis-led side won the game by four wickets. The Bangalore-based franchise have now won two out of their three games.

Despite most of the matches in this season having batting-friendly conditions, the 13th game at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai saw the wicket being on the slower side. After being asked to bat first, Rajasthan's top-order once again got their side to steady start. After the dismissal of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal were playing it carefully, and didn't take too many risks.
The Karnataka batter was dismissed in the ninth over. After which, Buttler joined forces with Shimron Hetmyer to put on a sensible partnership. They first took their time and then accelerated the innings. Buttler's knock in particular impressed one and all. He first understood the conditions, took his time and then made up for the lost deliveries.
His unbeaten 70, as well as Hetmyer's 42*, enabled the Sanju Samson-led side to 169. During the second innings, Bangalore lost both their openers in the seventh and eighth over respectively. Virat Kohli was dismissed early owing to a brilliant run out by Sanju Samson. Post which, Bangalore had a batting collapse.
It was Yuzvendra Chahal who bowled a sensational spell. However, Dinesh Karthik played a counter-attacking knock and got his side back into the game. He and Shahbaz Ahmed played some audacious shots to shift the momentum towards their side. At the end, Bangalore chased the total with five balls to spare. Another important point to be noted is that Karthik is yet to be dismissed in this edition.
