The Indian T20 league 2022 hasn't really been kind to Chennai. In the history of the league, this is just the second time that the yellow army have lost four consecutive games in a season. Hyderabad managed to finally get two points for the first time in this edition as they beat the Ravindra Jadeja-led side by eight wickets. It is to be noted that Chennai are now the first team to not register a win in the 2022 edition after playing four games.

This victory would certainly boost the confidence of the Kane Williamson-led side. Their bowling was absolutely spot on with the new ball as they dismissed Chennai's openers rather cheaply. Post which, Moeen Ali and Ambati Rayudu tried to steady the ship.
The all-rounder was unlucky to miss out on a half-century as he was dismissed for 48. Washington Sundar was the pick of the bowlers as he only gave 21 runs in his four overs, and picked two wickets as well. Besides, the pitch conditions weren't batting-friendly due to which, Chennai's batters struggled.
After being asked to chase 155 in the second innings, Hyderabad's openers played it safe early on. While their skipper Kane Williamson struggled throughout his innings, Abhishek Sharma was flawless. The youngster grabbed the attention of all the experts and analysts as he played some audacious shots.
He was well supported by Rahul Tripathi, who scored an unbeaten 39 from just 15 balls. Hyderabad managed to chase the total rather comfortably, and did it with 14 balls to spare. Although Williamson scored a 40-ball 32 and didn't look comfortable, he would certainly be impressed with his troops. Fans took to Twitter to post several memes about this game as well.
