Tons of players compete not just to win the trophy but also to elevate themselves to the highest level. It has produced World Class players since its inception in 1932.

Notably, India started playing Test cricket in the same year. Meanwhile, the players playing in the competition have performed well and have been remembered for a long time. Some of them have been handed national call-ups while some of them keep playing the competition but to no avail. He was one of few players from India to be banned for life on the charges of match-fixing. However, in 2014, the Delhi District Court cleared him of the charges. Meanwhile, talking about his First Class records, he has played 129 games and has 10120 runs at an average of 67.46 for Delhi. Also, he is the first player to score 900 plus runs in two season. The first time he did it in 1991-92 by scoring 993 runs. After five seasons, he repeated the feat by scoring 1033 runs.

2. Wasim Jaffer

The former India player was a giant in four-day cricket in India. The right-hander is the all-time highest run getter in the Indian domestic cricket with 19410 runs in 260 games for Mumbai and Vidarbha. The right-hander has played 31 Tests for India and was a first-choice opening batter in the longest format from 2005 to 2008 before Gautam Gambhir replaced him. Meanwhile, the 44-year-old is the second player to score more than 900 runs in two season. He did it for the first time in 2008 by scoring 1260 runs while scoring 1037 runs in 2018-19 season.

3. Sarfaraz Khan

The young sensation in Indian cricket has been among the runs in the last two Ranji season. Notably, the last two seasons had a break of two years due to COVID -19 pandemic. Still, the drive of scoring heavily hasn't changed for the former India U19 player. In the 2019-20 season, he got 928 runs and in the ongoing season, he has got more than 930 runs and counting. With this, he has became the third player to make the record in question.
