Coming back to Babar, he will be in action with the Pakistani team just a few minutes later during the much-anticipated clash against Pakistan. Notably, Babar is the first and only captain of Pakistan who has defeated India in a World Cup match as a captain of the team.

The men in green under the captaincy of Babar Azam, completely outmuscled the Indians when they met last time in the group match of the 20-20 World Cup 2021. The opening pair of skipper Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan helped Pakistan to register a massive win of 10 wickets against the arch-rivals.

Prior to the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022, Babar’s men played two matches against India during the Asia Cup 2022. After losing the group match, they made a strong comeback and defeated the men in blue by a margin of five wickets in the super-4 match.
