But the weather conditions of Melbourne are not seeming pleasant to anyone as dark clouds are covering the skies at the location of the match. The weather in the city of Melbourne will be around 18 degrees Celsius whereas a few showers and a thunderstorm might play a villain throughout the course of the day.

The speed of the wind might be 15 km/h. There is a high chance that rain could interrupt the match. It is still to see if we can see a game of a few overs of it will be washed out completely.

Earlier, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma also interacted with the journalists during the pre-match press conference ahead of the clash against Pakistan. He talked about the rain threats in the match against Pakistan. He said they also want a player to have a complete game of 40 overs.

Toss becomes a little important when there is a rain threat – Rohit Sharma

"In hindsight, if you look at it, toss becomes a little important when there is a rain threat. But again, I have been hearing about the Melbourne weather for a while now, it keeps changing. You do not know what will happen tomorrow, what is in our control, we will try to look after that. We need to come here thinking it will be a 40-over game, if the situation demands, if it is a shorter game, we will be ready for it. The players know how to manage themselves if the game is reduced, 10 overs each or 5 overs each. Luckily, we played a game in India where it was an 8-over game," said Rohit Sharma during the pre-match press conference.
