The Indian T20 league 2022 keeps getting worse for Mumbai as they lose their fourth consecutive game of this season. Things seem to be going out of hand for them at the moment. In the meanwhile, Bangalore continued their good form as they won their third game of this edition. They now look like a force to reckon with. The 2016-finalists beat the five-time champions by seven wickets.
After being asked to bat first, Mumbai's openers looked good during the powerplay overs. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan were playing carefully and didn't take too many risks. However, they then had a batting collapse after the sixth over.
Mumbai went from 50-1 to 62-5 in a matter of 23 balls. Wanindu Hasaranga was superb as the batters struggled to read him. Mumbai seemed to be going nowhere, and things looked bleak for them. However, Suryakumar Yadav stood up and showed why the pundits and experts rate him so highly.
The elegant batter scored an unbeaten 68 from just 37 balls. His rescue act was a class apart. It ensured that the Sharma-led side get to a respectable total of 151-6. Mohammed Siraj had a day to forget as he went for 51 runs in his full quota of four overs.
During the second innings, Bangalore's openers struggled to hit the big shots early on. As a matter of fact, they only scored 30 runs in their first six overs. After which, Faf du Plessis had to depart after scoring a 24-ball 16. Just when the game was at balance, Virat Kohli walked in to shift the momentum towards the Bangalore-based franchise.
The legend played some eye-catching shots. In the meanwhile, Anuj Rawat got to his maiden half-century in the Indian T20 league. Mumbai's bowlers were once again underwhelming, and didn't seem threatening at all. At the end, Bangalore chased the target with nine balls to spare. Several users took to Twitter to speak about the same.
Here are some of the Tweets from today's game between Mumbai and Bangalore:
Second half of the knock has been different gravy from Anuj Rawat

Spent most of the money in buying david and jofra. David already dropped and jofra won't play this season.

Not purchased one good bowler in this auction for this season except tymal. Season already gone.#MIvsRCB

Harshal Patel has been the most improved cricketer in the last 2 years. What a bowler he is turning out to be. Every batter is struggling to read his variations. He and Bumrah are the death bowlers for the WC. They need to lock in the Powerplay quick in the next few months.

If only Surya can bowl too…

Harshal's economy in this season so far after bowling 16 overs is 5.5. But this isn't the best part about him. The best part is that in overs 12-16, he has bowled 7 overs and only given 18 runs, while having picked 4 wickets at an ER of 2.57.

Mumbai Indians like Jofra Archer should have skipped #IPL2022 and played IPL 2023 directly.

The way Siraj is Bowling I wanted him to be the world cup 2nd bowler but the way he is bowling he will be out of RCB 11.

Suryakumar Yadav has been the best batsman for Mumbai Indians. No one is near him.

Unreal carry job from SKY. Easily the best and the most versatile T20 batsman from India currently. Man scored almost half the team's score at 183 s.r. Just oozes with intent. High contender for the knock of the tournament if they manage to win.

But SKY may not let mi FALL so easily. The only man Mumbai can place their hopes on.#RCBvMI#IPL2022
