The Indian T20 league 2022 keeps getting worse for Mumbai as they lose their fourth consecutive game of this season. Things seem to be going out of hand for them at the moment. In the meanwhile, Bangalore continued their good form as they won their third game of this edition. They now look like a force to reckon with. The 2016-finalists beat the five-time champions by seven wickets.

After being asked to bat first, Mumbai's openers looked good during the powerplay overs. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan were playing carefully and didn't take too many risks. However, they then had a batting collapse after the sixth over.

Mumbai went from 50-1 to 62-5 in a matter of 23 balls. Wanindu Hasaranga was superb as the batters struggled to read him. Mumbai seemed to be going nowhere, and things looked bleak for them. However, Suryakumar Yadav stood up and showed why the pundits and experts rate him so highly.

The elegant batter scored an unbeaten 68 from just 37 balls. His rescue act was a class apart. It ensured that the Sharma-led side get to a respectable total of 151-6. Mohammed Siraj had a day to forget as he went for 51 runs in his full quota of four overs.

During the second innings, Bangalore's openers struggled to hit the big shots early on. As a matter of fact, they only scored 30 runs in their first six overs. After which, Faf du Plessis had to depart after scoring a 24-ball 16. Just when the game was at balance, Virat Kohli walked in to shift the momentum towards the Bangalore-based franchise.

The legend played some eye-catching shots. In the meanwhile, Anuj Rawat got to his maiden half-century in the Indian T20 league. Mumbai's bowlers were once again underwhelming, and didn't seem threatening at all. At the end, Bangalore chased the target with nine balls to spare.
