In reply, Pakistan started in their top gear, with Imran Nazir scoring 33 off just 14 balls. The rest of the batters were pretty ordinary in their batting efforts, and in the end, it was a close and nervous ending that saw India risk giving the final over to Joginder Sharma. Sharma, in return, lived up to the captain’s expectations dismissing Misbah-ul-Haq in the third ball of the final over to win the game for India.
While the fan’s statement also said that 2007 20-20 World Cup inspired the start of the Indian T20 League in 2008, a lot of Indian fans refuted saying ITL was actually a result of the ICL or the Indian Championship League.
