‘His entertainment costed us Asia Cup’- Fans fumes over Ravindra Jadeja after the revelation of the reason behind his injury

Senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is currently in the headlines of social media for a recent revelation about his injury during the Asia Cup 2022. For the unversed, he was ruled out of this continental tournament due to a knee injury. It is the same injury due to which he had to miss the white-ball assignments for the Indian team.

But recently, the news reports have learned that the reason for his knee injury was something else that was not even related to cricket. Actually, he slipped his leg while ski-boarding.

This awkward revelation didn’t go down well with the Indian cricket fans who are already pissed up with the performance of the Indian team in the 15^th edition of the Asia Cup. They went on to lash out the 33-year-old on the social media platform Twitter. The fans also expressed their shock at Jadeja’s ski-boarding experiment during such an important tournament for the team.

Talking about Jadeja’s importance for India in the Asia Cup, then he played an amazing knock of 35 runs off 29 balls with two boundaries and two sixes against Pakistan in the first match of India’s campaign. Other than this, the senior all-rounder also stitched a match-defining half-century partnership with the player of the match Hardik Pandya. Their knocks helped India to cross the line against the men in green and win the much-anticipated encounter by a margin of five wickets.

The southpaw and impactful left-arm spinner were ruled out of the tournament later due to the injury. India won only three matches in the five matches they played in the Asia Cup 2022.

India got eliminated from the tournament after two consecutive defeats against Pakistan and then Sri Lanka in the super-4 round match of this continental tournament.

Apart from the exclusion in the middle of the Asia Cup 2022, Jadeja has also been ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2022 due to recovery from the same injury.
