Earlier in the first Test, he could register only the individual scores of 22 and 23 runs in the first and second innings respectively. The fans were displeased over his poor run with the bat in the series against a lower-ranked team like Bangladesh.

Fans took to Twitter and expressed their anger over the Karnataka batter and also lashed out at him for not living up to the expectations.

Here’s how fans reacted:

Talking about the current update of the match, the hosts are currently leading by 125 runs in the second innings on the score of 212 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 63 overs. Litton Das is there in the middle with a score of 69 runs alongside lower-order batter Taskin Ahmed who is on the score of 21 runs.

Indian off-spinner Axar Patel has scalped three wickets so far in the second innings of Bangladesh. Other than Axar, the rest of the Indian bowlers have scalped one wicket each.

Earlier the Indian team posted a total of 314 runs, thanks to the brilliant knocks of 93 and 87 runs from Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer.

Notably, the Indian team needs to must win this match against Bangladesh and clean sweep the series to stay alive in contention for the final of the World Test Championship 2023. Following this series against Shakib’s men, the Indian team will lock horns in the red-ball assignment against Australia in a full-fledged four-match Test series.
