India is currently taking on Bangladesh in the second Test match of their series. Batting first, the home side was restricted to a total of 227, thanks to brilliant performances from veterans Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav. Each of the two completed their four-wicket hauls in the match, while Jaydev Unadkat took two wickets in his comeback match.

With the bat, India managed to surpass Bangladesh's total, with wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant leading the way. The star batter played a counter-attacking knock while others failed to get going in the match. He had set his mind to getting quick runs under his belt and he was successful in doing so.

Pant completed his half-century in the 48th over of India's first innings and went on to score 93 in 105 deliveries before being dismissed by Mehidy Hasan Miraz in the 68th over. In his innings, he played with a strike rate of close to 90 and hit seven boundaries and as many as five sixes. This is the sixth instance that Pant has missed his century after scoring in the 90s.

Twitter was upset as they wanted the star batter to complete his century in the match. "Feel for Rishabh Pant, He ultimately saves India from sinking the ship but this is the 6th time he got out in 90s....Well played RP," a user wrote. Another one wrote, "Another heartbreak for Rishabh Pant - dismissed for 93 in 104 balls, missed out on his 6th century. He's been a saviour for India in Tests, an absolute star!"
