Hardik led the new entrants Gujarat to win the title in the 15th edition of the tournament. He delivered his best performances both with the bat and the ball in the entire tournament for the team.

Indian cricket fans also poured out their hearts for the star all-rounder on his 29th birthday. They took to Twitter to extend their wishes for the Gujarat-born cricketer.

Here’s how fans wished Hardik his birthday:

Currently, Hardik is a part of the Indian squad for the 20-20 World Cup 2022. He was given rest during the three-match T20I and ODI series against South Africa. Now he will be in action during the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup. Earlier, Hardik proved his brilliance during the first group match of the Asia Cup 2022 against the arch-rivals Pakistan.

Hardik was in the National Cricket Academy for conditioning-related work for his preparations for the marquee tournament in Australia. He might be a key factor for the Indian team in the World Cup in the absence of senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Notably, Jadeja was ruled out of the World Cup due to a knee injury he sustained during the Asia Cup 2022. He alongside Hardik played crucial in India’s win against Pakistan.

Indian management is also looking ahead to maintain and condition Hardik for the upcoming ODI World Cup next year in 2023. He could play an essential role during the marquee tournament in the Indian backyard.
