'Rohit Sharma academy of injury' - Fans roast team India as another player gets injured ahead of 20-20 World Cup

Indian team is going through major setbacks ahead of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. In a major and shocking piece of news, one of the star pacers, Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of the ongoing three-match ODI series against South Africa. Earlier, the senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah and veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja were ruled out of the 20-20 World Cup due to their respective injuries in the back and the knee.

Bumrah made his comeback after a hiatus during the five-match T20I series against West Indies followed by the Asia Cup 2022. But unfortunately, he couldn’t play a lot of matches in the three-match T20I series against Australia and got injured once again which forced him to sit out of the World Cup squad.

Although, these injuries and back-to-back exclusion of important players from the team didn’t go down well with the Indian cricket fans. They happened to make fun of and roast the current Indian management for this many injuries. Fans also went on to troll the skipper Rohit Sharma amidst all this.

Talking a bit about Deepak Chahar, then he is on the list of standbys for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup. He had to fly back to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru from Lucknow after complaining of an injury of ankle twist before the first match against the South Africans.

Currently, the men in blue are in action during the ongoing three-match ODI series against South Africa. The management has named a second-string under the captaincy of senior batter Shikhar Dhawan for this series as the main team of India has fled to Australia for the marquee tournament. Rohit’s men will begin their campaign against the arch-rivals on the 23^rd of October.

Earlier, India won two consecutive T20I series against Australia and South Africa respectively before going to the major international tournament. Although, India had to go through a very tough journey in the Asia Cup 2022 as they were ruled out of the Group stage in the tournament.
