Mohammad Hafeez is currently busy playing the ongoing Pakistan Super League for Quetta Gladiators. The veteran ex-cricketer played a gem of a knock on 8 March 2023 when his team took on Peshawar Zalmi in the tournament. He scored 41* runs off 18 balls while chasing 241 runs in 20 overs.

But, on 9 March, reports came that robbers have stolen INR 16 Lakhs from Mohammad Hafeez's house. According to the Police, the incident took place in the middle of the night between Sunday and Monday. Both Hafeez and his wife were not present at the home at that time.

His wife’s uncle, Shahid Iqbal filed the complaint and as per reports, robbers took away money worth over USD 20,000 and other valuables. Speaking about Hafeez’s form in the ongoing PSL, he has scored 134 runs so far in six matches. Speaking of the match on 8 March, Quetta Gladiators were chasing 241 runs. Jason Roy scored 145* runs off 63 balls while Mohammad Hafeez scored 41* runs off 18 balls. The ex-Pakistan batter smashed six fours and two sixes at a strike rate of 227.77. Hafez took retirement from International cricket on 3 January 2023. In his illustrative career, he played 392 matches for the Men in Green.

In those games, he scored 12780 runs, including 21 centuries and 64 fifties across all three formats. Hafeez last played an ODI in the 2019 World Cup at Lord’s after quitting the longest format of the game in 2018. After retirement, Hafeez said: "I represented Pakistan with great pride, and whatever I have played throughout my 18 years, I played with dignity. And whether it's on the field or off the field, I tried to raise Pakistan's flag high. I am very happy and satisfied with my career and achievements, which were all for Pakistan. So this is it for me." However, Hafeez confirmed that he would be available for franchise teams around the world as long as he is fit and can contribute with performances.
