WATCH: Mitchell Starc bowls deadly inswinger to dismiss Jason Roy

England and Australia are in action against each other at Adelaide Oval in Adelaide during the first of the three-match ODI series. Australian skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and asked the English team to bat first at the mixed-supportive turf of the Adelaide Oval. Batting, the pair of senior pacer Mitchell Starc and skipper Pat Cummins gave some early blows to the three lions and sent their three batters back to the pavilion only on the score of 31 runs.

Meanwhile, what blew everyone’s mind in these three wickets was the dismissal of England opener Jason Roy by Mitchell Starc in the fifth over of the match.

Starc bowled a deadly inswinger on the second ball of the over that completely outplayed Roy and smashed the stumps and eventually resulting in the early dismissal of the senior English opener. The video of this insane stuff from Starc has also gone viral over social media within minutes of being shared by a Twitter user on Twitter.

Here’s the video:

Speaking of the match so far, England has scored 199 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 36.4 overs. Top order batter Dawid Malan is sojourned there in the middle at the individual score of 96 runs off 100 balls with 10 boundaries and two sixes to his name.

Interestingly, skipper Jos Buttler has been the only batter in England’s inning so far who has crossed the individual mark of 20+ runs. Buttler fell prey to Adam Zampa in the 24th over at the individual score of 29 runs off 34 balls with two boundaries on his credit.

Skipper Pat Cummins and leg spinner Adam Zampa have scalped two wickets each for the Australian team. Apart from Cummins and Zampa, Mitchell Starc and all-rounder Marcus Stoinis have also claimed one wicket each.

Notably, both teams are coming off with different results in the recently concluded 20-20 World Cup 2022. England won the title of the 20-20 World Cup for the second time whereas the Aussies were eliminated from the super-12 round of the tournament.
