In what seems to be a major blow, former Indian skipper and veteran batter, Virat Kohli was seen in pain during the training session ahead of the all-important semi-final clash against England at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide on Thursday, the 10th of November.

While facing Harshal Patal in the nets, Virat Kohli got a hit of a delivery in his groin, and it made him go down on his knees for a few minutes before he started his warm-up again with a few lower jumps. The journalists who were present there at the time of India’s training session reported later that the 34-year-old batter looked fine following a hard hit in the groin portion of his body.

So, it seems that the highest-run scorer of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 has recovered from the injury scare and there is not something to worry about team India ahead of the big semifinal clash.

Earlier, the Indian camp was also in a line of tensions as skipper Rohit Sharma sustained a hit in the nets yesterday. During a throwdown session in the nets, Sharma was facing India’s throwdown expert S Raghu and got hit on the forearm of his right hand. The intensity of the hit compelled the 35-year-old to go off the nets before he came back again and started batting which was quite a bit relieving for the team management of India.

Similarly, following today’s hit on Harshal Patel’s delivery, Virat was also looking fine and hopefully, there is no concern of injury for the Indian batting great.

India eyeing their second title in the 20-20 World Cup

Notably, the Indians are eyeing to end their 15-year title drought in the 20-20 World Cup since they won the inaugural edition of the 20-20 World Cup played in South Africa back in the year 2007. If the men in blue managed to outclass the English team in the semi-final, they will lock horns with the winner of the first semi-final between Pakistan and England.
