1) Chennai:

Chennai is unarguably the most consistent team in the toughest 20 league. They have a whopping win percentage of 60.56%. In the process, they have also won four titles. Besides, in the twelve seasons in which they have played, the Dhoni-led side has made it to the playoffs eleven times, the most by any team. The yellow army has also won 117 out of their 195 games.

2) Mumbai:

Mumbai is the most successful side in the history of the league. They have won the most number of titles (five). The Sharma-led side has a win percentage of 58.52%. Out of their 217 games, Mumbai has won 125. There's a reason why they always enter every season with the "favourites" tag.

3) Kolkata:

While Kolkata hasn't been as successful as Mumbai or Chennai, they have had their fair share of success in this league as well. From being a laughing stock to becoming one of the best teams, the Kolkata-based franchise has come a long way. They have won the title in 2012 and 2014. As far as their win percentage is concerned, it is 52.15%.

4) Hyderabad:

Despite making their debut in 2013, Hyderabad instantly managed to make a mark. The orange army has made it to the playoffs on six occasions. Their win percentage is 50.72%. It is to be noted that they won the title in 2016, under the leadership of David Warner. Overall, they have won 68 matches.

5) Pune:

Pune is the only defunct franchise to feature on this list. They played two seasons and were fairly decent. They have a win percentage of 50%. After making their debut in 2016, they had an underwhelming season that year. However, they were absolutely sensational under Steve Smith in 2017 as they went on to reach the final in that edition of the tournament.
