This time around, a fan clicked a photo as well.

During the sixth over of the fourth innings, a few fans were seen jumping from the barricade to meet Kohli. One of them took a selfie with the 33-year-old as well. After which, the police and security guards kept chasing them. All of this occurred when the game was interrupted as Kusal Mendis was being treated after receiving a nasty blow from Mohammad Shami.

Thus, the video of the fans breaching the security instantly became viral. In fact, the selfie which a fan took with Kohli also started doing the rounds on social media. There were several memes made on the same. The fans were shocked with the passionate fan following of the Indian batter.

 

This incident was more astonishing as the security has become tighter due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As far as Kohli is concerned, he was dismissed for 13 in the second innings. He was dismissed by Praveen Jayawickrama.
