But who would have thought that the Pretoria-based batting prodigy felt scared of facing two bowlers during his international cricketing career? Recently in a conversation with ESPNcricinfo, the 38-year-old revealed two names who were probably the toughest for him to face.

While answering a question in an interaction with Cricinfo, Faf opened up about ODIs that former Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal was a very tough contest for him to be in. Whereas on the other hand, he named veteran Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja as his fear in the longest format of the game.

Speaking of limited-overs cricket, Faf came across Saeed Ajmal 10 times including two appearances in T20I and eight in the 50-overs format. However, Ajmal couldn’t dismiss du Plessis in either of these 10 clashes but the latter could score only 18 runs in two T20I appearances alongside 52 runs off 92 balls in the ODIs.
