England to tour Pakistan for a Test series in 2022 - Reports

If reports are to be believed, England will tour Pakistan for a Test series in 2022. The development was confirmed by Pakistan’s Federal Information Minister, Fawad Chaudhary.

Fawad took to Twitter and expressed his delight over the development. He further revealed that England will be visiting Pakistan in October this year, adding that Pakistan has come a long way since the attack on the Sri Lankan team in 2009.

“Lovely meeting my friend Christian Turner. Extremely delighted to know that after the gap of sixteen years, October this year English Cricket Team will be visiting Pak and next year again for a full Test series, we have come a long way from the devastating attack on SL team, tweeted Chaudhary.

The PCB had earlier confirmed that England will play two T20Is in Pakistan on 14th and 15th October. Post that, they will leave for the T20 World Cup scheduled to take place in India.

The last time England toured Pakistan was in 2005 where both teams locked horns in five ODIs and two Tests. Pakistan emerged victorious in both series. These two teams last faced each other at Old Trafford on 20 September last year and again it was Pakistan that defeated Eoin Morgan’s men by five runs.
