On the other hand, Arunachal Pradesh failed to grab a single win so far this year. Speaking of the match, the Arunachal Pradesh skipper, Kamsha Yangfo won the toss and asked Tamil Nadu to bat first. Baba Indrajith's side made a world record as they scored 506 runs for two wickets in 50 overs. After that, veteran Indian wicketkeeper, Dinesh Karthik came up with a strange dig at the ongoing tournament’s format.

Here is the shared tweet:

Tamil Nadu won the match by 435 runs against Arunachal Pradesh

Speaking of the tweet, Dinesh Karthik congratulated both Tamil Nadu openers for their blistering contributions. He said: "WORLD RECORD alert! What an amazing effort by @Jagadeesan_200. Couldn’t be happier for him. Big things await #5outta5 Sai Sudarshan what an amazing tournament so far. This opening combo is killing it. Well done boys @TNCACricket #VijayHazareTrophy.”

Then, he raised questions on the format of the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. “Also on another side note. Does it make sense to have the northeast teams play the elite teams in the league phase? It just topples the run rates of teams and imagines if a match against one of these teams gets rained off! Can’t they have a separate group and then qualify?” Dinesh Karthik added.

Speaking of the match, Tamil Nadu scored 506 runs for two wickets in 50 overs. Narayan Jagadeesan scored 277 runs off 141 runs, including 25 fours and 15 sixes against Arunachal Pradesh. Sai Sudharshan also scored 154 runs off 102 balls, including 19 fours and two sixes. They put up a mammoth partnership of 416 runs for the first wickets. In reply, Arunachal Pradesh got bundled out for just 71 runs in 28.4 overs. For Tamil Nadu, M Siddarth took five wickets for 12 runs in 7.4 overs. Thus, Baba Indrajith's side defeated Arunachal Pradesh by a mammoth margin of 435 runs.
