Not only the fans, but even the pundits and experts have gone on to compare all the best players of this era. Recently, Dale Steyn was asked a similar question.

The legendary bowler conducted a Q and A session on Twitter, and went to answer several questions. However, a fan asked Steyn to name the best all-format batter. "Who's the best batsman across all formats currently in your opinion?" read the Tweet. While replying to his Tweet, the former South African pacer felt that Babar Azam was the best batter across all formats of the game.

 

"Maybe Babar? He’s pretty darn good" read Dale Steyn's reply to the Tweet. It didn't take too long for his reply to go viral. Several fans reacted to it as well. It is to be noted that Azam has been absolutely sensational in the recent past. Besides, he is Pakistan's captain in all three formats of the game.

 

Moreover, he led his side to the semi-final of the 20-20 World Cup 2021. As far as his form in the longest format of the game is concerned, he scored 390 runs in the recently concluded three-match Test series against Australia. As far as ODIs are concerned, then he scored 276 runs in the one-day series against the Aussies.

Several experts and analysts have pointed out his ability to effortlessly score runs. The 27-year-old will next be seen in action during June as Pakistan are scheduled to play West Indies for an ODI series. It will be exciting to see if he can continue to score centuries for fun. As for Steyn, he is currently a part of the coaching staff of the Hyderabad-based franchise in the Indian T20 league 2022.
