On 21 May 2023, Mumbai Indians (MI) locked horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai in the ongoing IPL. MI were looking for a win to reach 16 points. However, both RCB and RR were also keeping an eye on this game. All these teams are stuck on 14 points while RR have already played their all games.

So, RR have the only chance to qualify for the playoffs if both MI and RCB lost their respective games. Then, all these teams will finish with 14 points and based on run rate, RR can qualify. Speaking of the match, Vivrant Sharma and Mayank Agarwal gave an excellent start as openers to SRH against MI. So, RR came up with a tweet to praise the effort from the young batter. But, they came up with a cheeky tweet and fans shared their views on social media.

Speaking of the tweet, RR wrote: “He’s played well. Shaamko aur mat maangna.” In the post, they wrote ‘Vivrant’ but highlighted the words that pronounce ‘Virat’. So, it seemed that the franchise are requesting RCB fans not to expect any more special knock from Virat Kohli against GT after Vivrant’s effort against MI. Speaking of the match, Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first. While batting first, SRH scored 200 runs for five wickets in 20 overs.

For the first wicket, Vivrant and Mayank scored 140 runs in 13.5 overs. Vivrant scored 69 runs off 47 balls, including nine fours and two sixes. Mayank Agarwal scored 83 runs off 46 balls, including eight fours and four sixes. However, a rain threat looming over RCB vs GT clash in Bengaluru. So, if the match gets abandoned, then RCB will finish with 15 points. Then, they can only qualify if MI lost the game against SRH and RR will be officially eliminated with 14 points.
