Shahid Afridi has been one of the most lovable players in the history of Pakistan cricket. He has always looked to entertain the fans with his all-around abilities in the field. However, Afridi is also famous for being in headlines outside of the field also. Currently, his daughter Ansha tied the knot with the Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi.

After the marriage, Shahid Afridi shared a beautiful post that reads: "Daughter is the most beautiful flower of your garden because they blossom with great blessing. A daughter is someone you laugh with, dream with, and love with all your heart. As a parent, I gave my daughter in Nikkah to @iShaheenAfridi, congratulations to the two of them.”

Meanwhile, Pakistan Women’s team are currently busy playing the ongoing 20-20 World Cup in South Africa. On 12 February 2023, they kicked off the tournament with a defeat against India Women’s team. But, now an old video has gone viral where Shahid Afridi was seen making derogatory comments about Pakistan Women’s Cricket. In that video, the host was seen saying that everyone wishes that the women in Pakistan need to do well in sports. In reply to that, the former Pakistan skipper said that women in Pakistan have great hands and they are very good at making food only.

Fans find out such comments very insulting and shared their views on social media platforms. Speaking about Shahid Afridi’s career for the Men in Green, he played 27 Tests where he scored 1716 runs and took 48 wickets. Along with it, he played 398 ODIs where Afridi scored 8064 runs and grabbed 395 wickets. In 99 T20Is, Shahid Afridi managed 1416 runs while taking 98 wickets. Shahid Afridi has retired five times in his international career before announcing his final retirement on 31 May 2018.
