'Can someone explain' - Fans lash out at skipper Hardik Pandya and management for ignoring Sanju Samson again in T20I series

India and New Zealand are playing in the third and last of the three-match T20I series against at McLean Park in Napier. The stand-in skipper for New Zealand, Tim Southee won the toss and decided to bat first. Making a change in the playing XI, the Indian management has given a chance to the pacer Harshal Patel in the playing XI for the last match of the T20I series.

Although, the decision of Indian management and skipper Hardik Pandya to bench the star wicketkeeper-batter, Sanju Samson, in another T20I match hasn’t gone down well with some of the Indian cricket fans. They went on to call out the stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya and management for overlooking and Samson giving back-to-back chances out of form Rishabh Pant.

Fans took to Twitter to come up with some harsh reactions to this decision from the Indian management.

Speaking of the match so far, Indian bowlers have bundled up the hosts on the score of 160 runs in 19.4 overs with Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh scalping four wickets each. Other than Arshdeep and Siraj, Harshal Patel also claimed one scalp to his name by conceding 28 runs in 3.4 overs.

Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips played brilliant half-century knocks for New Zealand. Opener Conway scored 59 runs off 49 balls with five boundaries and two sixes. Whereas, the explosive batter Glenn Phillips played a knock of 54 runs off 33 balls with five boundaries and three sixes with his bat.

At the time of filling this copy, India has started their run-chase having Ishan Kishan and Rishabh Pant in the middle to open the innings. The men in blue have scored 6 runs off the first over bowled by stand-in Kiwi skipper, Tim Southee.
