After the final, Parag shared his disappointment on Twitter and wrote: “Not another final dudeeeee #DeodharTrophy.” It seemed that he was not happy with the loss as he already lost the IPL 2022 final and the recently concluded ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup final. Seeing that tweet, fans shared their views on social media.

Here is the shared tweet:

Riyan’s 95-run knock went in vain but he bagged the Player of the Tournament award. He finished the tournament with 354 runs in five innings, along with 11 wickets with the ball. Speaking of the match, the South Zone skipper, Mayanl Agarwal won the toss and opted to bat first. They scored 328 runs for eight wickets in 50 overs as Rohan Kunnummal scored 107 runs off 75 balls, including 11 fours and four sixes. In reply, Riyan Parag scored 95 runs off 65 balls as his team got bundled out for 283 runs in 46.1 overs. After a poor IPL 2023, Riyan faced heavy criticism from fans.

Despite India A reaching the final of the ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup, Parag did not perform to his potential. So, fans were happy to see him in such form in this tournament. Before the final, in an exclusive chat, Parag opened up on the impact of Golf and Gaming on his career. He said: "I think playing golf and gaming online has helped me so much to take my mind off the game. Even if I am angry I can take it out in golf, not on cricket. I can go and game for five hours and my anger is gone and I can start enjoying what I am doing. It has got a lot to do with taking my mind completely off the game before I can focus again and learn from my mistakes."
