Jasprit Bumrah, India’s prime pacer, was ruled out of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 and the right-arm speedster was missed during the multinational tournament and in the semi-finals against England specifically as the Three Lions chased down the target of 169 without losing a wicket.
The pacer eventually took to Instagram to hit back at the haters, prior to the start of the sporting event and posted Winston Churchill’s quote as he tried to explain his situation to his fans. However, his post did not augur well with the fans as it compared the haters to dogs.
“You’ll never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks,” Bumrah posted Churchill’s quotes as a reply to his haters. Fans, on the other hand, claimed that they had all the rights to point fingers at him for not taking care of his fitness levels. As things stand, Bumrah posted a picture of himself on December 3, Saturday, on Twitter and faced backlash in return as fans called him out for not concentrating on his game.
Here is his tweet:

Will Jasprit Bumrah be back for 50-over World Cup?
As things stand, India are banking on their pacers to get back to form ahead of the 50-over World Cup to be played in India in 2023. With the likes of Umran Malik, Deepak Chahar, Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur being groomed ahead of the mega tournament, it remains to be seen if Bumrah could make a comeback to international cricket at the earliest.
Given that it is a known fact that pacers take quite a little time to get back to their best after recovering from an injury, Bumrah’s participation in the Indian T20 League might come at the cost of the multinational tournament, as the Men in Blue have a hectic schedule in 2023. With the increase in limited-over games, the right-arm pacer would hope to prove his critics wrong and make a strong comeback for team India.
Let us take a look at a few Twitter reactions to Bumrah’s tweet:
