The renowned cricketer of the Indian cricket team is the subject of rumours that his time playing for India would now be his last in international competition because neither the Test team nor the ODI roster for the West Indies tour included Shikhar Dhawan's name. He is also not earning a spot on the T20 team. After that, his professional future came under scrutiny.

The Indian Cricket Board will probably send the Indian cricket squad to the Asian Games, which will take place in September of this year. According to information, China will host the Asian Games, commonly known as Asiad, from September 23 to October 8. But starting on October 5, the Indian team will be preoccupied with the 2018 ODI World Cup.

Dhawan hoping for a comeback to the team

The Indian squad may be led by Dhawan at the Asian Games, according to a report that has just surfaced. The Indian Cricket Board intends to participate in the Asiad with its B team. The players who won't be participating in the ODI World Cup team will instead compete in the Asian Games. It is planned that the women's cricket squad, or A team, will travel fully prepared.

Shikhar Dhawan previously led squad India on a trip to Sri Lanka in the year 2021. He was in charge of the squad, which included young players when the main team travelled to England to participate in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. 

However, the Indian team's performance at that time wasn't very noteworthy. Cricket fans will receive another dose of the game after the Asia Cup and before the World Cup if this occurs. It should be assumed that players who performed well in the IPL this year can be a part of this team because cricket will be played in the T20 format at the Asian Games.
