India managed a draw in the fourth Test in Ahmedabad against Australia. Thus, they managed to win the series by 2-1. However, Virat Kohli won the player of the match award for scoring 186 runs off 364 balls. It was his first Test century after a long gap of 1205 days. Even, though it was his 28th Test ton and 75th international century overall.

Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri made headlines as he came up with an epic statement on the air after Kohli reached the milestone. Shastri said: "600kg Gorilla off Virat Kohli's back after his century." The former team India cricketer seemed to say that a burden of 600kg is now off the shoulder of Virat Kohli after this century. Now, team India skipper, Rohit Sharma came up with an epic reply to that statement.

Rohit Sharma said that he did not think that there was any monkey on Virat Kohli's back. Kohli had always loved to perform for the team as he had done for so many years. Rohit said: "I don't think there was any monkey of Virat Kohli's back. He always loves to perform for the team like he's done for so many years". With such a statement, he just took an indirect dig at the former team India coach. Even, fans have now come out with some hilarious tweets and memes all over the internet.

Speaking of Virat Kohli, he scored the most number of runs in the series for the Men in Blue. Kohli scored 297 runs in six innings, at an average of 49.50. After the Ahmedabad Test, in an interaction with Rahul Dravid, Kohli said: “If I will have to be brutally honest, it does become a little complicated and difficult because the moment you step out of the hotel room, right from the guy outside the room to the guy in the lift to the bus drivers, everyone was saying ‘we want a hundred.’ So it does play on your mind all the time.”
