In a big piece of news, pace bowling spearhead of Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi has been ruled out of the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 commencing on the 27th of August later this month. Pakistani team will start their campaign in the tournament against the arch-rivals India on the 28th of August.

The exclusion of Afridi from the tournament has come as a major blow to the men in green before this major multi-team continental tournament. He was one of the major threats for the Indian team and other teams as well during the Asia Cup 2022.

He had played a vital role in the amazing victory of Pakistan over India in the last encounter during the T20 World Cup 2021. The 22-year-old star pacer troubled the top order of the Indians by scalping the big wickets including the likes of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, and former skipper Virat Kohli.
