In a big piece of news, pace bowling spearhead of Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi has been ruled out of the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 commencing on the 27^th of August later this month. Pakistani team will start their campaign in the tournament against the arch-rivals India on the 28^th of August.

The exclusion of Afridi from the tournament has come as a major blow to the men in green before this major multi-team continental tournament. He was one of the major threats for the Indian team and other teams as well during the Asia Cup 2022.

He had played a vital role in the amazing victory of Pakistan over India in the last encounter during the T20 World Cup 2021. The 22-year-old star pacer troubled the top order of the Indians by scalping the big wickets including the likes of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, and former skipper Virat Kohli.
