On 19 March 2023, team India locked horns with Australia in Vizag for the second game of the ongoing three-match ODI series. The Men in Blue won the series opener by five wickets. So, the home side were looking to seal the series with another win. On the other hand, the Aussies were looking for a win to stay alive in the series.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma came back in this match after being unavailable for the first match. However, Steve Smith won the toss and elected to bowl first. Australia made two changes as they brought in Nathan Ellis and Alex Carey in place of Glenn Maxwell and Josh Inglis. On the other hand, India also made two changes.

Australia defeated team India by 10 wickets in the second ODI

They brought in Axar Patel and the skipper, Rohit Sharma in place of Ishan Kishan and Shardul Thakur. For India, Rohit and Gill came out to bat. But Gill departed for a duck and fans were left disappointed again with his performance. Virat Kohli scored 31 runs off 35 balls, including four boundaries. Axar Patel scored 29* runs off 29 balls, including one four and two sixes. Apart from them, other batters failed miserably as they got bundled out for just 117 runs in 26 overs. For the visitors, Mitchell Starc was the star of the show once again as he picked five wickets for 53 runs in nine overs.

Along with him, Nathan Ellis picked up two wickets and Sean Abbott grabbed three wickets. In reply, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh came out to bat. But, they tore apart the Indian bowling lineup as they chased down the target in just 11 overs. Australia won the match by 10 wickets and levelled the series 1-1 with one more match to go. Marsh scored 66* runs off 36 balls, including six fours and six sixes. While, Head scored 51* runs off 30 balls, including 10 boundaries. Starc won the player of the match award for his bowling performance. Fans were left absolutely clueless after such a humiliating loss for team India in the second ODI.
