The stage was set in Jaipur as Rajasthan Royals (RR) took on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the ongoing IPL on 19 April. After a long time, RR were set to play in front of their home crowd in Jaipur. But, it did not go well as they lost the match by 10 runs. Marcus Stoinis won the Player of the Match award for scoring 21 runs and grabbing two wickets.

After the match, now an image has gone viral where Marcus Stoinis was seen posing with his Australia teammate Adam Zampa. Zampa is a part of RR but he did not play any role in the match. However, their bond over the years has been a trending topic for fans and hence, they came up with some funny tweets.

Speaking of the match, LSG batted first and scored 154 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. After an 82-run partnership for the first wicket, LSG batters were struggling. But, in the end, Nicholas Pooran scored 29 runs and Marcus Stoinis scored 21 runs. Then, with the ball, Stoinis grabbed two wickets while Avesh Khan picked up three wickets. Thus, RR managed to score 144 runs for six wickets and LSG won the match by 10 runs. After wining the Player of the Match award, the star Australia all-rounder was happy and shared his views during the post-match presentation.

Marcus Stoinis said: “(On his bowling) It was nice to get involved with the ball. There were not exact plans to get them out, it was about using the conditions and using my smarts as a bowler. (On his partnership with Pooran towards the end) That was what we identified. It was a tough wicket. It was about not setting your standards too high and understanding that we needed to put on a good total. You will have to ask the skipper (smiles) but I am good health-wise (to bowl regularly).”
